How long before my booking do I need to arrive?

We ask our customers to arrive 15 minutes prior to their flight.

How many passengers can the helicopter or aircraft take?

Our exclusive helicopter rides in the Robinson R44 seat up to 3 passengers depending on weight and fuel requirements. Our luxury aeroplane charters in the Cessna Caravan 208 seat up to 10 passengers depending on passenger and baggage weight and fuel requirements. Infants and children may be exempt from these limits under certain circumstances.

Is there a minimum passenger age or weight/size for children or infants?

There is no minimum passenger age, weight or size for infants and children. Two children aged 12 and under may share one seat and seatbelt if seated side by side and their combined weight is less than 77kg. An infant may sit on a parent's lap with a supplementary loop belt. In these cases, two passengers occupying one seat are equivalent to one passenger.

Is there a maximum passenger size, weight or age?

The maximum individual passenger weight is 136kg with no tolerance above this. There is no passenger age limit, however passengers must be physically able to exit the aircraft unassisted in an emergency.

What if the weather is not suitable on the day or time of my scheduled flight?

If the pilot deems conditions unsafe, you may reschedule or receive a full refund. If the weather is marginal but safe, such as rain affecting the experience, you may also reschedule or receive a full refund.

What if I need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances?

Can we communicate during flight / Is it noisy?

All of our aircraft are equipped with Bose noise-cancelling headsets. In our business class aeroplane, headsets are not required but recommended. The cabin has ambient noise, but passengers can converse comfortably.

Will I get airsick / What if I get airsick?

If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking anti-nausea medication. Inform your pilot at any time if you feel airsick; all aircraft are equipped with sick bags.

Are helicopters safe?

Safety is ingrained in our company culture. Our helicopter is fitted with emergency pop-out floats and locator transmitters and is maintained to CASA regulations. It undergoes servicing every 50 flight hours by dedicated maintenance staff.

Is it okay to fly if I am pregnant?

Yes, however passengers must be physically able to exit the aircraft unassisted in an emergency.

Can I take pictures and videos during the flight?

Absolutely. We do not require aeroplane mode. You may take photos, videos, livestream, and share your experience on social media. Please tag us @raptair.aviation.

Can I eat or drink during the flight?

Where are you located?

We are located at Squadron Dr, Bundaberg Regional Airport, Bundaberg 4670. Turn left at the roundabout upon entering the airport precinct and follow the signs to our parking area.

Are there toilets onboard?

Our aircraft are not equipped with onboard lavatories. We recommend using the bathroom prior to your flight.

How long are the scenic flights?

Scenic flights range from 10–15 minute experiences to extended half or full-day adventures. Custom durations are available upon request.

Can we request a specific flight route?

Yes. We can accommodate requests for specific routes, especially for custom charters. Let us know in advance and we will do our best to include your preferred landmarks or areas.

Do I need to book in advance, or can I book on the day?

We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time. Same-day bookings are accepted when availability allows.

What should I wear for the flight?

Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended due to sun glare at higher altitudes.

Is there parking available?

Yes, we offer free parking at Bundaberg Regional Airport. Follow the signage to RaptAir to find dedicated parking spaces.

Can I purchase a flight as a gift?

Yes. We offer gift vouchers for all flights and services. Contact us to arrange a personalised voucher.

Can I bring luggage on board?

For charters, luggage can be accommodated within aircraft weight limits. Contact us in advance to discuss baggage size and weight.
